What do you guys think about archery as a sport?

Been on it for the past 8 years now. I compete, I coach, and I love the sport. I shoot pretty much anytime I’m not sleeping, eating or working. I’m in the best shape of my life because of it. Archery is not really a direct cause of it, but to be good at it you really need to suplement it with weights and cardio workout. Dreaming of the Olympics…

One of the greatest “time wasters” ever… More people should take it up, even if only as a hobby!

I’ve been involved in archery for the past 30-plus years, and I find that it’s the best way to spend an afternoon (or the whole day; a bad day of archery is always better than a good day at work - unless archery is your work).

As for Olympic Archery — it is my opinion that Roving (or “stump shooting”, as some call it) should be made an Official Olympic Archery Event. Putting arrows into a stationary target, at set distances, is fine…but Roving requires more actual skill than static shooting. (How’s it going, targetbutt?! LOL!!)
