does anyone know were I can try archery in New Jersey

not really..
i mean you codl always get your equipment and then shoot at target sin your back yard ( unless its like a subdivision)
then i woudl suggest an outdoor outfitters store.. or a hunting store, usually then have a range to test fire merchandise..

Does your city have a parks and recreation department? If so, try them. Look in the blue pages (government section) of the phone book to find the number.

You could buy an archery set and play in your backyard and there are archery centers in some places in NJ I believe.
