I can tell you from first hand experience that contacts/glasses would only affect your aim slightly or minimally. As long as your vision is checked every year or so and you don’t have an astigmatism, you should just be fine. The only time it would be worse would be if you have focusing issues close up or at a distance. I have worn contacts or glasses most of my adult life.

Contacts can improve your shooting as they improve your vision. You may want to get them with a focal length and/or astigmatism correction to sharpen your image of the sight pins. They are less likely to interfere with your shooting form than regular glasses. The amount of improvement will depend on the amount of vision correction you need.
