My dad is with me having a bow, but my mom thinks is is sooo “dangerous” , so how can i make her let me get a bow? I already have a cheap one but i want to get a new one and she wont let me.

Actions. Ya see, I used to hunt with a bow. Your Mom is right about the danger. A shaft let loose in the wrong direction can kill. Just like a car used in the wrong way can kill. So by your actions you are measured. The DMV gave me a license to drive a car but I had to earn that license. People still make mistakes driving and injury or death occurs. The same relates to a bow. Be careful but have fun with the one you have until your mom feels at peace with the idea of a new bow. Remember, you have to earn it.

Get archery books from the library and let your mother see how interested you are in the sport and sooner or later, she will come around to let you do what you want.

By not knowing your age, it’s a bit difficult to give you a concrete answer. If it’s a sport you really want to spend the time to learn for recreation; getting a book & involve your parents to learn. I do know in larger cities there’s an organization the Community Olympic Development Program where for a minimal fee kids can learn Olympic sports taught by Olympic caliber coaches. Look around your area, I know in my city there are kids learning fencing, diving, gymnastics & volleyball with the help of CODP.
