Seriously, though, I highly suggest you go get yourself a copy of The Traditional Bowyer’s Bible (either 3-Volume set or 1-Volume). It is full of anything you would want to know about making your own bow - except for compound bows, they are not Traditional. One of the first how-to books I ever found is “Making Indian Bows and Arrows…The Old Way”, by Douglas Spotted Eagle; it may not deal with Robin Hood, but it is a great way to learn how to make Native American bows and arrows - from the view-point of one particular Modern Lakotah “Indian”. There are so many how-to books on the subject of “Bowyering”, that there really isn’t enough space to list them all here.

Both places are populated by some of the best archers in the world, and they are happy to help whenever they can. Pay them a visit and ask questions, it’s part of why they are there. Since you are most interested in the Robin Hood aspect, though, I suggest you visit TradGang first; all they deal with is Traditional Archery.

If you can, go out and purchase whatever books on Archery you can find, such as “The Witchery of Archery” by Maurice Thompson, and “Hunting with the Bopw and Arrow” by Saxton Pope. All of the books I have listed here should be readily available - or can be ordered - from your local bookstore. First, though, go pay those websites a visit and ask a lot of questions.
